I find I say things that would never have left my lips
when I was younger. I am not tolerant of what I
consider stupid acts. When I can see the outcome
of an inconsiderate act, I often butt in. Much to
my dismay.

Same here. I'm surprised at the stuff that comes out of my mouth sometimes!

Actually, I have become less likely to be outspoken - except in what I judge to be a case of immediate danger or a reasoned required comment.

For the most part, people have to learn for themselves - there are laws of nature

that said I am an extravert so sometimes it almost hurts not to blurt out whatever is marching through my mind at the moment.

Ironically, I've always been outspoken ... and find myself growing less so, as I get older. Perhaps the mellowing process of growing older moves us all closer to the center.

I have always been outspoken, ever since childhood. (I know most of you will find that hard to believe, inasmuch as I am so shy and retiring here on City-Data).

I am now able to curb somewhat my tendancy to share whatever I am thinking. It's sort of a mellowing and self-control that has come with age. This does not mean I have changed completely; I am still outspoken, just not quite as much.

I am definitely more outspoken and have to consciously "think before I speak" otherwise I could seriously start many disagreements with others. I guess I have always been that way, especially at jobs, so that's why I got fired a couple times. LOL

I am more definite (more outspoken) about some things I believe, but more conscious of shades of grey in many other topics. So I am more outspoken about things that seem to be fundamental truths, and more tolerant (quieter) about everything else.

I am not more outspoken in my golden years. Due to the way things are in this world I just keep my mouth shut because you never know how people will respond!!!

I have always been outspoken since I was a kid. Never shy, never afraid of confrontation either. I always try to be objective but been passionate about telling another person if I feel they are wrong. It hasn't changed as I've gotten older and not getting worse.

I think if you are shy most times you will always be a bit shy and if you are outspoken you always will be.
