Good hygiene is a must, and something people forget is the fact that we all become accustomed to our own body odors and our nose “tunes them out” so you seriously may not be able to tell you don’t smell very nice.
The easiest, cheapest and most effective way to de-scent garments that you can’t wash frequently is to spray them with vodka and let them air-dry overnight. You attract alcoholics but at least you're attracting somebody.

Well, at 62 my "old man smell" is Polo Sport. I bathe every day using a body wash, and have been told by random women "gee whiz you smell good". Want to smell something nasty no matter the age? Someone who smokes cigarettes. Talk about nasty, ick.

Let me understand. The county had a law that required the elderly to let a welfare worker into their home to see if they were bathing and washing their clothes? Or was this a voluntary program the elderly subscribed to?

If this was the law, it's the nanny state run amok.
