It seems to me the thread with the greater use should be awarded the sticky spot. Taking into account the length of time each thread has been open divided by the total number of posts yields approximately one post per day in the personal photo thread and three posts per day in the chat thread. That would be an objective, rational way to decide which way to vote in the poll.
I don't visit the photo thread anymore. Hate waiting for everything to load. When C-D requires posters to use thumbnails, then I'll start visiting that thread again.
Chat. Anyone can chat but not everyone takes photos. Also, some of us just have cheap cameras and we (well me, at least) feel intimidated by the people whose cameras cost around $1000.00. Photos was supposed to include everyday pictures from our daily lives but pictures of highly exotic locales predominated. So a lot of us feel excluded from photos.
I am not sure what the benefits of being a sticky really are, but assuming that there is a benefit, I would think that the thread with the largest number of separate individual posters would be the one to choose.

The only benefit of a sticky is that it is always right there, at the top of page one of its forum. You don't have to look for it further down the page, or look on page two or three if it has slipped down that far. It is in a position of privilege as a mark of its importance or significance, or perhaps simply of its popularity.
I guess this is not a hot button issue. Only 18 have voted as I type this, and half (9) say it doesn't matter to them. That's probably a good thing, actually; people can get too worked up over trifles sometimes.
Actually it's kind of fun hunting and pecking for Chat. It usually floats around page 1. I'm sure we'd all continue to find it if it weren't a sticky; however, it's probably more relevant to a lot more people than the current stickies. And, although I know my view isn't popular, and although the link to it is posted at the top, I'd like to see Medicare and Insurance for Seniors as a sticky within the forum. That would mean I would also vote for an "All Things Senior" forum that includes retirement, but that would be hoping for the moon.
