Growing I thought I would never be like either of my parents.
But time has just run away!
I am more like them than I thought possible.

Are you and in what way?

I have noticed that my hair is turning silver, which happened to both my parents.

No, we're not alcoholics, and we're self-sufficient. And we've helped out our children as they truly needed that help......

I don't even think I look like either of my parents.....

I don't think I'm much like my parents. They were kind of negative and complained a lot and played a lot of golf. My dad would watch TV for many hours during retirement and wasn't very social. I hate TV, love socializing, quit golf, and I've learned to give thanks to God for all the blessings and the wonderful life I've had. He was also an alcoholic and even after get got off the booze, he was popping a bunch of medication. I drink very little and avoid taking medication unless its really needed. The only way I guess I'm like him is that, like me, he was pretty careful with his money. Actually, growing up, I made up my mind to be nothing like my dad, and I think I've accomplished that.
