Folks, the thread below has brought up a need: we need a nickname!!
What shall we call it when a bunch of retirees pool their resources and live together in a McMansion? Active Adult Community is too much of a mouthful, and besides that's for large communities. I'm talking about people sharing a house.
So far all I've got is "retirement communes" (too hippy) or "golden girl houses" (too much like a sit com).
"old geezer frat house" isn't right, either.
Maybe "silver fox den" (but that sounds affected).
Let's brainstorm... surely someone has a better suggestion! Who knows, maybe we here at city-data could be responsible for coining a term. Because this is going to be a trend that everyone's gonna be talking about. Any ideas?
It would stand for Retiree Oasis, Shared Establishment.
Too cutesy? Hmmm, maybe.
It does have potential, though...
A whole neighborhood of such houses could be a rose garden.
And if you created a written contract for roommate responsibilities, it would be titled "Roses without Thorns."
it's actually my husbands license plate for his corvette, means SECOND CHILDHOOD,
we all know that it's mandatory to grow old but optional to grow up, we choose not to grow up. We are just Old Kids
Wow....tressa..... it is almost time to count the hours.
Yes it is, 25 days, 15 days of actual work. Then the real work begins, building for our new adventures
