I notice that events that happened yesterday (at least in my mind), really
Occurred several years ago.
You know, the Beatles just got here and now they're mostly deceased.
Time is just flying by the older we get, is it just me?
Yeah, tick tock, you both are right. I was just telling my mom what happened to the weekend? I can't remember what we did and today is only Tuesday. Good old days :-)

I think as we get older we don't agonize over events and that "can't wait" feeling goes away.
Its a done that kind of thing. But yes, the days do seem to be speeding by.
It's simple really, as we get older we compare a period of time, say a year, to longer and longer periods of time. A year was a huge ammount of time when we were five and compared it to only the five years we had experienced. When we are 70 we are comparing a year to a much longer period of time so it seems much shorter. I understand that. What I can't figure out is how the days get longer at the same time...
I once read some scientific article that explained this phenomena by stating it is because we have so many memories. So then I got to thinking - so if one has alzheimers and looses one's long term memory, does time again seem to pass slowly ? I really hate the way time is flying by uncontrollably because it means I'll be dead before I know it!
I seem to notice it most regarding events that happened some time ago. I'll rent a film from Netflix and see tht it was made in 1983. But, but, how could it be 30 years ago! Or to see that Calypso - the puppy - now has gray on her muzzle and I think about the fact that she is 10.
I can recall so looking forward to reaching 55, the magic number that I needed to be able to retire and in just a few months I'll be eligible for Medicare. That's for old folks, isn't it?
I'm no longer old enough to be mother to that yummy looking 20 year old eye candy, I'm old enough to be grandmother.
I must be having an awful lot of fun 'cause time sure is flying.
I'll be 65 in August. Time doesn't seem to be moving faster now than it did 40 years ago. Not in my case. I've always lived/worked at a fast pace. Hopefully, I can slow things down in the next year or two!
