All of these responses are fascinating, like mini bio's. This idea came out of the six-word story challenge put out there a few years ago. Amazing how much is conveyed in so few words. Maybe write a second six-word bio, with different nouns/verbs of course.

Another thought: if we have too many possibilities in retirement (or are directionless), six words can describe the basics of who and what we really want to be, deep down.

hawk
observe
soar
sense
rest
awake

artist
films
friends
nature
children
books

fish
stream
riverbank
mountain

Maggie, I am so sorry. I hope there's someone there for you, if no more than 'do lunch' sometimes.

I haven't had my coffee yet....but aren't 'blessed' and 'excited' adjectives?

(you can turn one of them into a noun)

I see that some of us have grief, sorrow, and sadness in our list. While that's not "happy," it seems healthy to admit those words into our lives as definers right now. Hopefully, over time, those words may be replaced. And if not, we've at least accepted this aspect in who we are.
