Skype is free. We use it almost every month to talk to our son in Singapore.
The best way to learn a language is to speak it with a native.

Ohmigosh, that video made me cry! What a sap am I.

My ex-SO, who is a retired computer geek, tends to tell me about tech stuff. I am not a good listener when it comes to that
stuff. Even when I make an extreme effort, that sort of information just drips away from me. But he told me about a money-making opportunity that he thought would fit me in retirement. And it did have something to do with teaching English to foreigners via the internet. For $. I have done this sort of thing as a Literacy Volunteer. Many people do not realize that LV is not just an organization that teaches adults to read, but is also a resource for immigrants to learn spoken English.
