A thread about doughnuts inspired this question. I haven't had a doughnut in years, and am still, at age 66, trying to eat healthy and lose extra pounds.
My family joke is, I'm serving Cinnabons and cigarettes at my funeral.
Part of me is saying, give up and eat what you want, but I haven't given in to it yet.
You?

Never - it's a very sad state of affairs but I'd gain 50 lbs a day if I ate what I wanted to: tons of icecream, oreo cookies, tostadas from Taco bell, onion rings fried with tons of ketchup, real coffee, strong, perohies, homemade pizza .....

Never for me too. I'd gain weight too, but before that, my GI tract would make me pay, and pay, and pay for the insult if I ate all that food!

I'll probably keep up my pristine diet till age 80 and then I won't give a flying bird. I will have pastas, alfredo, warm breads with hot olive oil, the fattening stuff I long for. I don't crave junk foods, so won't do those. i figure if I make it to 80, what is there to lose?

When I gave up statins for high cholesterol, I realized I could eat whatever I want to. Statins made me fat. Now I maintain my weight with no problem and do not have to worry about what I eat. Oh yah. I still have the high cholesterol. Oh well.

When I had to take Oxycontone I did not have much of an appetite. Although I hope I never need it again it could happen. Therefore, I intend to eat whatever and as much as I wish while I can.

I eat what I want, but keep in mind to maintain eating in moderate quantities.

I have no weight problem at all, weigh in at 172 lbs at a slight bit over 6'1". Exercise has really allowed me to be pretty unconcerned about weight gain.

I was a bit of a "fat kid" growing up, peaking at almost 230 lbs at age 18. I went on a serious diet to get ready for being drafted into the army, and lost 70 lbs. Since then I've weighed between 165 and 190, but never really had a weight problem again. And it has been 44 years since I went on my diet.

As time went by, I found I could eat pretty much whatever I want as long as I keep in mind portion control.
