Have you found a place that gives you the ingredients free after you've purchased them the first time? I've always had to purchase the stuff each time.

I was thinking of spices and seasonings. Sometimes when I'm trying out a new dish, it's an initial sizable $ outlay because I have to buy those.

biscuitmom, maybe you could borrow a tablespoon of a spice you don't stock before taking the plunge? Just a thought. I love spices and have a sizeable hoard, which I am cooking down to the small jars so I don't have to trash them when we move.
