When we are in the US, we'll drive a car to the new city and drive locally. We plan on using public transportation as much as possible both here and overseas. We are urban types and a factor in determining where we'll be is availability of convenient public transport.

Yeah, so not a true 'nomad' in the sense that you will be carting your posessions with you and setting up housekeeping for months at a time in one place. Very cool.
