No kidding.
If the cops came across two young people engaging in sex at 10:30 P.M., I doubt they would be sentenced to six months in jail. Seriously. Ridiculous.

Are you saying that you've never known a formerly-married person who was gay, or are you saying that in your entire life you've never known anyone at all who was gay?

Okay, let's try again. In my personal experience have not known for sure a person that "came out" and ended their marriage due to their true sexual orientation of being gay. Almost surely I have known such persons, and have had my suspicions, but they were not open about it, and it was none of my business.

I live in a 55+ Active Adult Community. There seems to be 3 types of people. 1.) Old people. They were old at 40 and they are older now. 2.) Then there are the hippies of the 60's and the freaks of the 70's. They act the same as they did their entire life. 3.) The people that followed the conventional family plan. They married young, raised their family, retired, and thought moving here was the next logical step.

When they are together in a group the 1's are complaining and telling you about their ailments. The 2's ask if anyone has any grass and are already half buzzed from wine. The 3's want to show you pictures of the grands and great grands.

The 1's never seem to have visitors. The 2's go other places to see their friends and family, and the 3's are the ones with people staying with them ( too damned often.)

I have heard stories similar to The Villages story. Never really seen it myself.

Great assessment thinkalot.

My over 55 community has the same profile and I am so grateful to be in the second category minus the grass.

My partner , however, qualifies on all counts!

I haven't got the mind set of many of my neighbors and try hard to exercise and look good. No apologies from me for that.

Botox and the gym work for me but there is no one prescribed way to age.

This would be an aggressive lesbian's idea of going to heaven, living there!

My despotic, tyranical, ex-military cousin-in-law treated my cousin like a 3rd world slave throughout that marriage, who could never spit out the words Please or Thank-You! When my cousin died, I was secretly hoping he'd have to tie his own shoelaces, brush his own teeth or learn to boil an egg, but within 2 weeks after she died, in this retirement community, he had another woman living there, with other idiotic masochists lined up to take my cousin's place!

I knew an older Gay male that lived in that same community, did no good whatsoever to tell all these women he was Gay, all fell on deaf ears! He finally stopped going to the club house, and was considering moving out of there!

Any number of these women read the Obituary column every day, just waiting and waiting, to bring their favorite baked pie or cake to the mourner's house with a note: If you ever need something, give me a call!

You’re grounded!

Actually no, the wiki says it is 2-1 Republican & a favorite stop for people like Sarah Palin & Glenn Beck to hawk their wares.... this alone brought more vomit to my mouth than any mention of sexy grandmas doing it in the bushes to willing widowers. I will have to be further down the road to senior dementia before I could handle that.

Hmmm could that public perception of the Villages have anything to do with my posting it?
