There's a lot of misinformation in the story...the ratio of women to men is no where near 10 to 1. Probably closer to 24 men to 25 women. This is just salacious bunk. There's always a few drunks in any community doing amoral acts....even where you (wherever) live.

To be exact, according to the 2010 census, 51,442 lived in The Villages (nearly 70% over the age of 65). The breakdown is 53.02% female and 46.08% male.

Forget the ratio of ten women to every man ... if they have cocktails for $3.75 I might considering moving there!

Ummmm ...

53.02 + 46.08 = 99.10

I guess the other .90% represent transgender individuals???

Peggy's husband should get himself a 49 year old girlfriend and openly flaunt her. After all, turnabout is fair play. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, right?

What we don't know is whether Peggy's husband had also played around or whether they had some type of agreement. Fortunately, neither one of them is spilling the beans.

While those numbers appear not too far from even, actually they are not, if correct, they are heavily in favor of the unmarried men. Without doing more research and analyzing the stats more closely, would surmise that for every unattached older man there are 2 or 2 1/2 women without partners. Far, far from the silly 10-1 ratio mentioned in the linked article, but still a big advantage for the guys.
