Even in forums like this we do either or discussions and polls for example:

Percentage of people with family pension income over 75k

Percentage of people with family SS income over 50k

Percentage of people with family investments over 500k

Those three data points taken individually tell us little and taken together tell us not much more. Simply we don't know how many have all three and how many have none.

Some live comfortably on 20k; others required 100k....just depends on lifestyles and preferences.

Lifestyle and expenses will go hand in hand. We like traveling. We need a huge budget.

Actually we are in montreal right now as i type. We are here for a week.

Gettng ready to head off to photograph old montreal.

Amen to that! My sister does fine on about 25k. She owns her condo, so her normal expenses are manageable. And she does't just sit around staring at the walls; her next trip is going to be to London.
