I for one will not remarry. One and done. I can be convinced into having roomates though but marriage? Not for the life of me. Oh and for what it is worth, Saturday we celebrate our 34th anniversary.
Everyone should be that lucky. I got to be married for twenty three years and eleven months--to the day. While I'd like to have someone special in my life, I don't think I'd remarry again, either.
Some people still believe that cohabitation without marriage is something that goes against their morals.
I am one of those people who think this is not wise for young people, and definitely not if children are involved, but most elderly singles are living as companions, and not much "sinning" is going on.

I met my husband when I was around 62 and he was 67. Previously I dated a very nice looking 73 year old man, a British lawyer who was handsome and fun and sophisticated. There are men who take care of themselves and look fine. A friend of mine is in her 70s, petite and blonde, and dates a man in his 80s who doesn't look it. He plays tennis and keeps fit. Not only can I imagine it......
Marriage is always dangerous. Once you're over 60, it's truly asking for tragedy to come to you.
