Retirees...

Is this coming year one for moving, travel, or changes in lifestyle or goals? Anything you plan to get resolved in 2015? Explorations?

Happy 2015, NEG. For the past two years I've been thinking about closing this store and opening a different business. My competition has gotten fierce, I am getting older and things aren't as easy to do as they used to be, my husband's health has been failing and I need work that I can just drop at a moment's notice to take care of him.

It's a little scary because it is out of my comfort zone... and how many times can I start a new business and have it be successful? I am also thinking about returning to college for another degree, but I'm not sure at my age that it is worth the expense.

Sending best wishes to everyone for a happy, healthy, prosperous 2015 and for all happy plans to come to fruition.

I already started by joining a fitness center. Been at it close to three months; three days a week. Wife will join after Christmas likely. She had a full physical in prep.

DH and I have many times in the last few weeks discussed how 2014 has been the best year of our lives. Doubt we'll ever top it.
Normally we try every year to travel to new places and have new experiences. We're thinking that in 2015 we'll instead rerun some of our favorite places and experiences.

Wow, what big changes ahead! May I ask what kind of store you operate and what kind you'd switch to?
And getting another degree...that is something I'd like to do, just for my own pleasure, but it would entail big bucks....though one can attend nondegree college courses as an auditor. What kind of degree would you pursue?

And I'm sorry to hear of your hubby's deteriorating health. I wish you both the best.

Glad to hear the passing year was the best for you! It was one of the most intense for me. Looking forward to a lot of things calming down and evening out this coming year, with relaxed explorations regarding where to make our final home before happy acres takes over.

Continue working on the new house. Mumbling about travel, but time will tell. Hopefully there will be time to take advantage of all the clubs available in Sun City Summerlin. So far we've had little to spare.

Two bathrooms, a kitchen, new irrigation system, landscaping changes, epoxy the garage floor and perhaps the drive and walks, etc. It will come to an end, but it seems distant.

I'm thinking we'll sell our last link to the construction business.

Here's hoping anyway.

And BH will decide to move around a bit more.
