While in general I like being retired I am jealous of the high powered people in their 40s who are senior managers or people who are just on top of their game at work. I like to walk around areas with lots of businessmen and women and see them talking and interacting, planning a big deal and using their education, skills and talents to add value to their workplace. Or visiting my son and daughter at their office and sit in the lobby while I wait for them and see all the activity.

At times I wish I was one of them and could be at their lunch business meeting and talk about important things, especially if I was in charge!

How about you?

Nope, not me.

(You sound very much like former poster I'm Retired Now, also spoke of being jealous of "powerful" business people.)

I love work. I could sit and watch somebody work all day long.

Sounds like an ego problem to me. I imagine you were a real pain, when you were "in charge." You need to get over yourself and find something valuable to do.

I love watching others work. It takes my mind off of my own stressors.

I love to see people working, especially in restaurants, vacation spots and stores. Just love it oh yeah movie theater workers are at some points fun to see working along as others in the entertainment industry. One of the great things about retirement is you can have the opportunity to see a wide variety of different people working.

As Hubble said to Katie in The Way We Were, "Comes the revolution, maybe we'll all have a sense of humor."

I was thinking the exact same thing. The writing style is also very similar. Interestingly, I'm Retired Now is no longer a member. Hmmm......
