Greetings,
Bit of a situation here. I've got to sell my wife's grandmother's mobile home in a retirement park in Florida. I've listed with an "agent" who is also a resident in the park. There hasn't been any real movement for the past five months or so.

I'm trying to come up with ways to get the word out about the place. The first thing that I've come up with is to put up with a website ([ Mod cut[/url ]) to at least promote it, beyond the walk-ins that the agent gets every so often.

My real question is, how do we get this visible to people up north who might be looking for an inexpensive place? Are there forums, listings, or some other mechanisms that I simply don't know about? How do people go about looking for these type places?

Try craigslist.org and go to the Florida section. A friend of mine has listed her Vero Beach home there. I don't know if "older people" use the forum, but I'm 54 and I do, so...

Maybe AARP has something? Good luck.

Default Mls

I would make sure it is on the MLS and available on the real estate sites like realtor.com, etc. People searching on the internet will be able to view it if it is listed.

Why not ask the agent what they are doing to move this property? Presumably, the agent gave you their marketing plan when you signed the contract. Not that it means much (having been "sold" by agents, I can assure you it means very little). In any case, you might just put the agent on notice and let him/her know when the listing expires that you may interview other agents unless they can show you what they've done to get interest.
