Working in a corporate environment all these years and too young to be a hippie, I would still choose them in retirement. They would be the most fun. It would be 1. Hippie 2. Yuppie 3. Hippie/Yuppie (Huppie?) No rednecks.
I would live in a redneck area but not perhaps in the beer drinking neighborhoods. Never liked stoner hippies or yuppies. In fact that is what we moved to family type neighborhood with great neighbors .
I would like to see a definition of each of these terms from the OP, so we're all on the same page re: who we're talking about. Everyone has their own subjective notion of definitions, and as I said earlier, it's almost always stereotyping. So....definitions?

Well, to be clear, there are "hippies", and then there are "HIPPIES"! So vegans and New Agers are one thing, but for example there are coastal communities here in Cali, particularly in the "Emerald Triangle", where they have trouble making even basic improvements to the infrastructure (sewers, roads, etc.), simply because the local "greens" and other counterculture types continually fight tooth and nail to resist any sorta "change". Not to mention the "environmentally aware" folks who figure it gives them license to still 'critique' whatever you (legally) wanna do with your own property!

If that's the issue, I'd stick with no/practically no zoning law places. So you can at least eliminate the yuppies. Now it's between the rednecks and hippies, however you define them.
