Well excuse me. Honestly what difference really from Desert Hot Springs or Cathedral City to someone who wants to live in the Palm Springs area. Those are two communities adjacent to Palm Springs. it is like saying I will move to Somerville MA because I want to live in Cambridge MA.

The difference is I don't live in MA and cannot make comments about the housing market in MA (or FL). I live 75 minutes from Palm Springs, have been there hundreds of times and bought property there. There is a substantial difference between Palm Springs (and Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells and La Quinta) and Desert Hot Springs. I want to give the OP as accurate a picture as possible.

The more informed you are about a subject, the more you usually see/note differences

I live in DFW area of Texas--towns are very different to us but Cowboy Stadium is in Arlington--not Dallas
The Cowboys' practice facility is in Irving
Yet all sports commentators refer to is Dallas
Useless to try to educate them bcuz they don't want accuracy--too hard to explain to people watching the games...
