Off topic to Neon Gecko...Many digital cameras have both screens and a normal view finder. I like my Lumix which has this feature and wonderful 18x zoom. I do use my cell phone for some pics that I never would have gotten before simply because I don't always carry a camera around with me.

Flip phone for me with a minor data capability. Smarter-than-me phone for my wife which we only use when taking our day-trip and overnighters to explore the Ozarks because of Internet capability and access. Total cost about $112 a month. Buying a good tablet soon and get rid of the smart phone altogether.

I use a flip phone. I'm home most of the time and use my Laptop on and off all day. I do not need the features of
a smart phone. I want to access the internet on a full screen. Plus I would never pay the monthly fee for the service. I have a prepaid phone that I pay $20 every quarter. This all works for me.

My smart phone has been a major appliance for me for years now. I plug it into the car charger and it is a great travel tool. Audio books and music give me something to listen to on long drives, and the ear buds are very hi fi. The GPS with google maps lets me know where I am any place there is cell service, and I bought a Wilson signal amplifier so I rarely lose cell service. Wifi hot spots and Skype let me make calls for $13/mo. no matter what country I am in. It lets me keep up with my email and social media no matter where I am and doubles as a Kindle reader. With a bluetooth keyboard and office suite software I can write and edit photos. An HDMI cord and a hotel TV set gives me a large screen monitor.

Did Apple ever fix the iPhone so it can accept a memory card? The main reason I went with an Android phone was that the iPhone memory fills up and limits what you can do with your phone.

Still wanted one that would close so got a flip but it does have web access and a camera, even though I don't use either
I didn't mention that this is a Tracfone. You don't have use the web access but at least you don't have to 'pay' for it unless you do.
And it was only $20 or $30.

I just got an LG smart phone with triple minutes (Tracfone). I usually buy 1200 minutes once a year for $100. I saw an add for a new Smart Tracfone for $89 that included 1200 minutes. I transferred my 3070 unused minutes to the new phone and added the 1200 minutes. I love the Wi-Fi, Uber and my memory card with 700 songs.

Samsung Note 4 for me (I hesitated over this one because it was so big - while it has a REALLY good camera, it is too big and I'll go back to the Samsung Galaxy S6 this June when I'm eligible for an upgrade). The spouse has a semi-smart flip phone (aka a "mostly dumb" phone). I've had a smart phone since one of the first Motorolas. The spouse doesn't care for them and really just needs a phone that texts.

No. So 90s. "So 60s" would be if you had a Princess rotary dial phone on a landline, LOL!

Flip phone here, for travel vacations and driving to my night shift. I have no desire to have a computer in my pocket.

I have a flip phone. I waste enough time on the internet at home, I don't need it when I'm out, all I need is to be able to call my husband and let him know I'm having too much fun to come home on time.
