How many of you fear loss of intellectual ability? How many have broken into a sweat that stinks of fear when they can't remember a common word or fact? How many will retire tonight wondering if they will be gibbering wretches when they awake?

Well, you may put aside your fears. Yes you may. The Happy in Wyoming School for Intellectual Rejuvenation is now in session. I'll give you back your once healthy minds. Are you ready, oldsters?

Here's how we'll begin. I'll assign one or more vocabulary words each day. It will be your responsibility to find the definition which may not be online , then use the word in a literate sentence. You will post the sentence so that the rest of the participants may judge and criticize.

Your first word is hagride. Use the present indicative; you may have read or pehaps heard the past participle passive. According to OED II the first use was in 1680.

A good one but I think your sentence needs an object (hagride who/m).

(a transitive verb in the present tense needs a direct object, or I have to go back to grammar 101)
