I think this explains it: the dangers of having a national health insurance plan like the rest of the developed world. Please Jeezus... bring us back to the days of Bush & Cheney when peace & prosperity reigned over our country!

There are significant populations of Peruvians near NYC, LA & Miami, perhaps you could find a moderately priced neighborhood in one of these metro areas that has decent schools & your wife would have some company from "the old country". None of these areas are church centric but you would have to work to find where the economics & access to good schools intersected.

I find it ironic that you express such disdain for the US (You HAVE to live here for 5 years) but are very happy to accept our government's financial support. Hypocritical much?

All members of my family are highly educated and successful, although I was the only one to retire at 34 years old.
Then why go thru the process of moving your family if highly successful. Moving back for five years seem extreme if you have the money already to assure their future. I'd think retiring at 34 the SS can't be that much or important for such a extreme move.

1. Give all my Children the same opportunities I had.
2. I have enjoyed living overseas for 12 years, only fair to give my Wife the same opportunity.
3. No one knows what the future holds, any amount of guaranteed Cola'd income for my Wife, after I die, helps me sleep better at night.

You call my comments riddles because you have no idea what the lifestyle is in Peru for foreigners.

If you want riddles, call the Joker!

In my opinion alpine is make a HUGE mistake. I did the same thing, and I ended up divorcing my latin wife and boy did it cost me! Thank god no kids! Only in America can a woman clean a guy out even after 1 year of marriage! I think Alpine's mistake, like many foreign men who live in latin america, he had multiple kids. Now he is stuck like chuck because he loves his kids he he feels an obligation to his kids and wife to give them the so called good life in Amurika. Alpine has no idea the gigantic mistake he is making.

To be brutally honest if you had stayed single or married and had dogs instead of kids, you would be sleeping like a baby EVERY night right now. The problem is you have no idea what you are about to do! Go ahead and return to the United States of Slaves and you will understand later what I am telling you! Why do you think your kids want the stressed out money is all life in the U.S.? Lay down the law because you are the man and the man is the head of the household in Peru! Peru has good schools and universities. Stay in Peru!

Now I remember his prior post and its was mostly about financing future on SS. It wasn't about opportunity but the money and I don't blame him since he is much older with young children. Then and now he seems to think SS at 62 with a young wife and two children is going to go far. He might want to read posts on heath insurance cost for four under 65 as retiree. in US.
