I live in a very active community and encounter cigar and pipe smoke regularly in outdoor venues. It is outdoors and as long as I don't have to swim through it to get inside of a common facility I don't mind. As far as on your own property, boat, golf cart or car, that's entirely your business. If you lived in an apartment-like condo, I could see it being a problem if the smoke drifted into your neighbors' balcony, windows, or air vents.

Op your no different than say a young couple buying a home . You have needs and then there are wants. Its up to you as your different than myself likely. Start a list of those and then make comparison with list is my suggestion.
