It's an effective drawing-out remedy and also used in European salons for facials.

Don't be too quick to dismiss castor oil! My grandmother would heat up a little in a pan and use it on her scalp before washing her hair. It thickened her thinning hair.

To help pass kidney stone(s):
Mix 2oz of virgin olive oil with 2oz of lemon juice and drink it. Repeat again in four hours.
In 24 hours you'll pass the stones.

This home remedy and it worked for me several years ago. I passed the stone the next day after drinking this concoction. The stones were softened by the oil which helps with passing them.

They say jump up and down while doing this, to help dislodge the stone.

Has swabbing tonsils with mecurachome using long sticks with cotton on the end been mentioned?

(longer than Q-tips)

mecurachome was orange-red. my mother did this for our sore throats as kids!

Vicks Vabo-rub rubbed on the chest too.

My Mom actually had a glass bottle that looked like an old oil can with a steel tube to spray our tonsils with the mecurachrome.

That link brought back a ton of memories!
