My cousin who worked 40 years for a big auto mfg (salaried) did have insurance paid for if you took early retirement.
However,a couple years into early retirement (and after his wife lost her job) he recieved notice they were changing that and he had to co-pay a steep amount of the insurance.

It was a double financial blow and he said if he had known those 2 events were goung to happen,he never would have taken early retirement.

Yes both my wife and I will have the same coverage and the company will pay most of the cost still. While we worked they payed the employeee coverage and we paid dependents partial cost.At the present time it is 174.00 each a month.It basically is 500 deductiable and 1500 per incident out of pocket cost.

My husband and myself still are under the same plan as before he retired..They pay 100% of the premium..Only thing changed was eyeglasses..It no longer covers that..Along with our medicare and my husbands va insurance we are doing really well as far as medical coverage..
