On Thanksgiving, I cooked myself a roast for dinner and bundled up. We had an ice storm and the power went off. Temp didn't get over 32 until the next day. Friday, it was 33. I enjoyed the heater, my roast and that the power stayed on. Saturday, I log into fanfiction.net and find five novels I've been reading have a new chapter. Post the one from my stuff I have ready and spend a bunch of time with the heater making it warm and reading stories. I'm nightbird47 there too.
One of the ones I've been reading is sooooo good, an alternative turn in time but in the end a subtle one. I might just sit down and read all 20 chapters over. If the tablet worked I just might. Jazzed that I finally got past the big mystery moment in my story. LOVE that all of them are darker alternatives of the Dominion war or other events. Also very well done.
We ate a "homemade" Thanksgiving Dinner, took an hour nap and then headed out to Wal Mart at 7PM. Got a few movie DVD's we wanted, stood in line at the "self-serve" area for a few minutes, bought the DVD's and left. Headed over to Best Buy to get a few more movie DVD's (Blue-Ray), stood in line a few minutes to buy them and then headed to Penny's. Got a few things there, stood in line for a few more minutes, bought the stuff and headed home. We were gone approx. 3 hours.
On Black Friday, got to one store at 8AM. Ate breakfast out, then went to a couple of other stores and home by noon. That ended our day of shopping.
Went back out on Saturday to get a few things and was home by noon.
BTW, we are in our mid-60's. Will we do this next year? Won't know until next year (LOL).
