Do you know if he had something happen, like death of spouse, family member? How about his health (besides the phobia)?

My heart goes out to this man. He might be able to enjoy life more if he got some mental help.

Yes, all of this is very sad, but I am unable to convince him to seek help for his emotional problems.

However, his neuroses may not be similar to the neuroses of other weapons hoarders, so notifying law enforcement authorities may be a prudent step in some cases.

When I first read this post, I thought, "OK then. No problem, except to himself." But later I thought, "What if someone comes to his door? What if YOU come to his door? Is he likely to shoot, and recognize you later?"

I don't, as a rule, post political stuff on my Facebook page, but I have a Facebook friend that shares the most irritating, way out there, goofy, whacko, crazy, leftwing, liberal pages. It was just constant, so, I figured out how to keep them from coming onto my page. But, I'm not grumpy.

Some might call me grumpy, but I'm not. However, I don't try very hard to get people to like me. If people don't like me, I really don't care. However, I actually do try harder to be nice to people, especially to the little people in life, like the clerks at Walmart.

Yes, that little pull down that says "ignore post from XXXXXX" is handy. I don't want to see any thing from mBSnbc, fauxnews, Clintonnewsnetwork, Huffingtonpost, Media matters, Focus on the family, etc. If I want to see that stuff, I will go to their webpages. Show me your family, birthdays, the good times you are having, the professional successes you have accomplished. THAT is what is interesting to me. Not that political stuff.

I'm not grumpy and I don't give a hoot if certain people like me or not. I would like to say though that I find the above comment to be foolishly condescending and ignorant. Talk about stereotyping people! Just because someone puts on that blue jacket and helps keep the shelves full and takes your credit and bags your dang groceries, doesn't make them "the little people in life". How rude and thoughtless!
Now there are individual people everywhere that aren't up to par, but, it certainly isn't condition that is confined to "Walmart".

^^^^^^ I very much agree with you.

I was flabbergasted when I read the comment about "the little people." It always so disappointing when I read something like what was posted. So judgmental!!

Unless they truly are Little People.

Home

But even then, why single them out to be nice? Tall people have feelings, too!

So, did you consciously decide to give us an example of a grumpy old person, or did it just come out that way naturally?
