You need a clock that displays the month and day of the week as well as the time of day.

You look forward to Monday because the stores will not be crowded

You don't care about the traffic report anymore

You time your daily actives around the stock market open and close.

Ironically, I worked a four day, 36 hour work week with Mondays off. Where I live we don't have urban style traffic-thus no reports. And my iPhone gives the month, date, day of the week and time. Been retired two days.

In the winter, I no longer fret over bad roads, I just stay home.

And I was going to say, you know you are retired when you do not have near enough time to do everything you need and want to do.

When working people ask you, "What did you do over the weekend?" you have to stop and think, because there's really very little difference between Saturday-Sunday and Monday-Friday.

You go to the Tuesday 12:30 matinee movie, you get in for $7, and there are only 4 other people in the theater.
