Nice thing about the Star Wars lines to get in, that many fewer kids who won't be out playing on your lawn!

I'll never forget the first time I saw Star Wars. I was in a theater in Florida on vacation and I was in my early 20's. My ex and I smoked one before we went in and I sat transfixed through the whole movie. I've seen them all multiple times and still enjoy the movies. (Yes even without smoking one) I'm seeing The Force Awakens tomorrow on this beautiful IMAX 3D screen. Cant wait

I remember seeing the first/original movie and just being awed and "so cool!" when the opening story came on and scrolled up the screen - that alone seemed so creative and inventive at the time.
Loved it. Saw the one after that and liked it and maybe the third? But not all the other ones and the few minutes I've seen here and there didn't suck me back in.
That said from what I've heard this has the same feel as the first and I''ll go and see it after the crowds die down.
For one thing they said they didn't use CGI much. I hate the new trend of movies that are just one cgi fight/crash/action scene after another with a few minutes of plot in between.

I remember 30+ years ago walking out to the theater lobby to take a break from the stuff on the screen.

I'd much rather watch a rerun of The Shawshank Redemption.

Or my all time favorite, "The Godfather series".

Rant over back to my morning nap.

I was the only one in my family to watch the first SW in the theater 12 times. But now with all the commercialism and garbage, it's not something I'll knock myself out to see...

My biggest gripe? 3D...I ;paid $17 damn dollars to see Godzilla (My fav monster) in 3D and man, did I get screwed. Now I'll wait till someone drops a dvd into the SA bins before I'll watch any SW show.

Your opinion, just that and nothing more. Strange that someone who proclaimed "not getting it" would start a thread about it to the point of belittling someone with a different take on it.

As for me, saw the original in a theater and enjoyed it. For some reason never did see the rest of the "trilogy." Will have to do so one of these days.

I meant to warn you: people who are gaga over "Starwars" get very hostile when you question why.

I have seen them all and I want to see the new one too. I will probably wait till the crowds go down a bit. I haven't been to a movie theater in probably 10 years because little has come out that I was just dying to see.

I remember waiting in line for hours with H to see the first one. He was a big sci-fi buff. Maybe I want to see this one sort of in his honor because he can't be there. If he was alive, he would be first in line!
