Much of what was mentioned in the video is supported by Dr. Michael Greger. He has a great website, NutritionFacts.org | The Latest in Nutrition Related Research .

He's also just released a new research-based nutrition book, How Not To Die. It's also available on audiobook.

Here's a short video about it. All proceeds go to charity.

That looks like an interesting book. I appreciate data based decisions and advice.

Science works.

I agree. I've been getting free emailed newsletters/videos from Dr. Greger's website for about two years; and have made substantial changes in my dietary habits.

For example, I am now a kale and broccoli eater, and beans have also become a big part of my diet. Likewise, I have ground flax seeds and berries every day. I made the changes because his work is evidence-based.

I'm also awaiting the arrival of his book. However, I'll admit I cheated and took Amazon's AudioBooks up on a free trial offer, and have been listening to the audio version. It's well worth it.

People who are on a limited budget can, of course, get his book at the library. Just an aside, Dr. Greger donates all profits.

BTW, Dr. Greger is an entertaining speaker and he doesn't push any products. His videos can be found both at his website and on YouTube.

Here, in today's very brief (2:54 minute) video, Dr. Greger debunks the idea of the "French Paradox."
