The whole "key" to this test is to scare the hell out of you if you can't do it and use it as a motivational tool to get yourself in some sort of decent shape. Gain mobility and flexibility the best you can. Exercise to your limits. Even Tai Chi is good as a flexiblity/mobility exercise. Get up off your a$$ if you can and get moving in some fashion.

i agree 100% . if you can do it you likely are fine . but if you can't it is a wake up call to see why that might be .

there very well could be reasons like flexibility or age , but the point is it should raise a red flag for further investigation .

There is no way I can do that test due to Grade II Spodolothiosis (sp).

I'm not even supposed to be walking upright but I still take care of my horses, muck stalls, bush hog the pastures, mow the yard, you get the picture.

It might be a gauge for someone sedentary but people who have always led an active life try their d***dest to work around their maladies and stay somewhat in condition.

I'm not even going to attempt it because I have no cartilage at all in my knees. However, as long as I can still put on support pantyhose while standing on one leg and putting the other foot up to my knee without falling over, I don't think I'm doing too badly.
