Best wishes. Take the time to adjust. Enjoy your new life.

I have 56 more days.

I've now been retired for 3 months. I'm slowly getting used to it.

It feels a bit weird to receive paychecks from pensions and SS without having to work. But I'll adapt.

The hardest thing for me is to replace my social group of working people with equally interesting retirees.

When I walked out of the office on my last day of working I felt as though I was being let out of prison - but without having to deal with being on parole.

Biggest problem I have had since retiring is keeping track of what day it is and then realizing it does not make a difference. It's like a 7 day weekend.

But I moved three days after fully retiring to a new city in a different state. So that helped since the first two weeks were spend unpacking and getting everything setup.

My wife's last day was this past Wednesday and she's been as giddy as a schoolgirl.

My last day is the end of March and it looks like my management is going to take advantage of every. Last. Minute. But no matter what they throw at me, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, so I can handle anything!

This next Sunday at midnight will be my last "system go-live" during off-hours. Can't wait to wrap that up!
