I think that place is cute and would suit me fine...except I like to sit outside and like a screened in porch, bit of deck and bit of yard for bird feeders which a lot of places probably don't even allow !
Yep, that is kind of where I was headed with my comment. It is especially tempting as a snow bird, second home option. Another option I am considering for that is an RV park. I couldn't handle a small trailer as a full time residence but for a few months at a time I think I could.
There's another similar thread where mobile homes are going for 10k in Lakeland. Not as close to the beach but a real cheap snowbird option.

I don't' really get the idea of buying a mobile in a park when you can buy a condo, own the thing, for less money and your monthly maintenance fees are less.
I chose to buy a condo in Florida rather than a mobile for that reason, although I agree, some parks are very nice. Still, it just doesn't make sense to me.

A condo would be better but where in Florida can someone get a condo with even half the square footage of these mobile homes in the 10k to 45k range with a maintenance of less than $400 per month?
I agree also if you own the home outright just self insure and if a storm is headed your way just take your valuables and leave. There are plenty of these manufactured or mobile homes still standing that were built in the 70's and there have been plenty of storms since then. For a 45k home why not just do without insurance if you own the home outright.

Definitely would be interested.
This is in my condo development. I pay $238/month including water.
It's HOA is about $230, which is cheap in this area.
Our community is gated, has a wonderful, Olympic sized pool, with a jetted hot pool beside it, 5 on premise staff, a very important part, a large reserve fund, and excellent maintenance. I bought 3 years ago, and would do so again in a second.

This is one of the most stunning remodels of a personal space I've ever seen, short of hundreds of thousands being spent. If it whets your appetite, be sure to click on the link to Kim's website My Mod, Mod, Mobile Home. She shares enough photos that you can see every inch of her mobile home's "Before," as well as it's very chic "After."
Kim's mobile home park is in California. There are lots of over-55 mobile home parks in Nevada and Arizona, too, not only Florida.
Juke...gorgeous reno!!! I remember an article years ago about Malibu mobile homes selling for 1 million!!!!
