Only temporarily. Just wait awhile and those fingers can be crossed again:

"Contrary to common perception the process of Rigor Mortis actually does reverse and the body returns to a flaccid state; the muscles losing their tightness in the reverse of how they gained it: i.e.: those larger muscles that contracted last will lose their stiffness first and return to their pre-Rigor condition."

For dh and me, everything we own is joint, and our kids are over 18. We have a will---Legal Zoom---that leaves everything 50/50 to the kids after we both pass. That is, everything they didn't manage to steal from us, or consume in legal fees they racked up which we were obligated to pay. They can duke it out!
