Vicky3Vicky,
as a newcomer to City-Data Retirement (joined last year), your thread is new to me. This must have been very tough for you. I hope you get your life back.
Your thread did introduce me to EMDR.
Good Luck.
I wonder if the girlfriend of one of the perps. Works at the OP's pharmacy and looks up people taking the "hard core drugs" passing on that info.
To the OP, I am very sorry this happened to you. I live in a drug addict part of town, it was what I could afford. I am armed, just in case.
I am so glad that you were not seriously harmed or killed, that seems to be the case in many such instances.
Hope you can get your insurance company in line. Not everyone has receipts for everything they own. For the future, go around your house and take pictures of everything you own and keep copies.
Vicky, thank you for the update. I'm so glad that you've been able to move on. I hope your son finds peace at last. I know the trauma of this sort of invasion can take some time. Encourage him to get help, there's no shame in asking for help.
I wish you well with your new home, garden, chickens, and goats!
Vicky, thanks for the update. I'm so happy to hear that you are moving on after the trauma of the robbery. I hope your son will seek help to get him past this. There's no shame in needing help. Good luck to you all, and enjoy the home, garden, chickens and goats.
