And maybe it's time for posters to learn to place their threads in the correct forum. It's not rocket science.

People who cannot spell, punctuate, proofread or use Google are not likely to learn the proper forum in which to post.

You are right -- it is not rocket science.

Every group of retired people discuss their health or lack of same ad nauseum. And their problems and issues are not the same as the general population. That's why those issues are commonly placed here so they can be viewed by the appropriate audience.

I don't think it has anything to do with being unable to post in the correct forum.

Well, it stands to reason those suffering from medical issues are moving to Arizona and not Alaska. Who could blame them? Not many elderly people would like an Alaska winter.

EVERY group of retired people? Don't think so. Is Ms. Colonoscopy even retired at age 53? I am 54 and not close to retirement but am in the age group advised to have routine colonoscopies. I know people that have had them in their 20s or 30s for diagnostic reasons. If they had questions or concerns wouldn't they be more inclined to look in Health and Wellness instead of Retirement? What about Rheumatoid arthritis? Early onset dementia? Unless the question is about medicare coverage or something actually related to retirement, the discussion is a Health one not a Retirement one.

So threads that have nothing to do with retirement SHOULD be moved to the appropriate forum.

Colonoscopies are not just for retirees.
Cataracts can occur at almost any age, and retirement has nothing to do with it.
Same is true for many medical issues... nothing to do with retirement.
Those topics belong in a health & wellness/medical forum.
Yes. My husband had cataract surgery in his early 40s after suffering detached retinas. We had young children at home and had I been looking for info or a discussion, it would not even have occurred to me it had anything to do with retirement.

Good opinions on both sides, but it looks like the forum will maintain its status quo.

OK mods, you can put a on this thread.

Can you imaging getting around in a wheelchair during the winter! No way.

And even then, it is not a retirement topic.
