It looks like some of these people were just arrested. And very sad...looks like they got 55M from us in about a year.

I saw that on the news Yellowsnow. I hope they charge more than the 70.


Maybe I'm not old enough (63) or maybe it's because I live in an elder building & we talk among us to be aware of these scams, but we all keep each other informed. I feel sorry for folks that don't have friends or family who will let them know.

how scary is that real people fell for this crap. pay the irs with a target gift card ???? just pathetic and yet folks fall for this stuff .

They can always leave voice mail or email for alerts or text even.

Any scam letters should be turned over to either the IRS or the Postal Service so the inspectors can develop cases. They do take these seriously and have prosecuted and won.
