The sea of info supplied by SS doesn't answer this, for me, clearly. Not sure if you can submit for a replacement card or if you can actually ..get...a replacement card at the local SS office.

Appreciate any help.

from their site:

"The process is very simple, but you will need to verify your identity using a social security number, birth certificate, and U.S. passport. If you do not have a valid SS card, you will need to apply for a replacement. You can do this online at the SSA website or in person at one of the local facilities"

oh and it will be mailed to you. They can't just print it there for you.

some offices can print them out, but I don't think there's any way online to figure out which ones have that service.
