I rarely rise later than 8 am. Usually it's about 6 am. I only set an alarm if I happen to have an early appointment, and I usually awaken before it goes off.

If I go to bed late, I get up late. I generally get 8 hours of sleep.

I always vowed that when I retired, I'd go to bed when I damn well pleased and I'd get up when I damn well pleased and I'd take a nap when I damn well pleased.

So I get up 6-8 hours after I go to bed and if that's not enough, I take a nap.

And guess what? I'm damn well pleased about it!

I've never understood "sleeping in". I still am awake between 4 and 5 but don't get out of bed until about 5:30. And it doesn't matter what time I got to bed or if it is the weekend.

However I sometimes make a carbo laden breakfast and we go back to sleep for about half an hour.

I want to be friends with your wife! Too many people I know want to do stuff early, like 10:30 or 11 a.m.

I go to bed by 2 a.m., get up by 10 or 11. But I need the alarm clock to do it, and I often hit that Snooze button more than twice.

I stay up late generally...can't go to bed early at all. So generally in bed at between midnight and 1:00 AM...up about 8:00. Always been a late night person and don't like getting up early, but I can if I have to, especially if it's something fun like to fly somewhere fun!!

I get up whenever I want to. My chocolate lab is very good about letting me sleep in.

I always make any appointment later in the day. There will be none of this setting an alarm clock!

When do I get up? about 1.5 - 2 hrs after I go DOWN (@2-3AM) Usually at 4:44AM winter or summer must be electro magnetic waves from the clock hitting (3) 4's in a row. Been happening for many yrs.

I will have to say.... probably have only been awakened 3-5 times in 26 yrs of my Choc Labs, (outdoor ONLY, guarding their farm) Never chained, never indoors, never pooed in a 'people' yard Justifiable barks from mine, since we live in a county with a Big Foot Ordinance, and have plenty of bear, cougars, coyotes, and most everything else that loves to snack on our well fed cats.

The neighbor dogs ...(previous house) Many yrs of lost sleep while working night shift and having a neighbor as a early shift AM meat cutter. I got off at 2AM, he left at 4AM and the dogs (7) barked from 4AM till 4 PM when I left for work.

Just last month I sent the neighbor dogs away. (my Renter who had got unapproved dogs while I was traveling for a yr). He claime he got 2 to keep each other company That shows how much people know about 'Pack' animals
