Yeah, me too. Actually the happiest most well adjusted man I have ever known is a practicing Wiccan.

Conversely, I know some pretty unhappy devoutly religious people.

Thank you. I always thought that brain chemistry had more to do with depression vs whether someone was religious or not. Your Wiccan friend sounds like someone I'd love to meet.

He was a lot of fun. I haven't seen him in years of course because I relocated to the Cleveland area and he is in Portland. He was an interesting guy. For awhile he had a midnight radio talk show where he talked about anything and everything. People would call in, pick a topic, and off he'd go.

Brain chemist definitely has a lot to do with depression. I have mental illness in my family in a big way; aunts, mom, grandmother and there is no denying that there are chemical imbalances in the brain involved. That's what the doctors all said.
