My father received notice that his SS benefit would increase by 0.3% in 2017; however, his Medicare premium must have increased along with it, because he's receiving the exact same amount he did in previous years. Did others experience this, too?
of course . one thing has nothing to do with the other .
medicare went up , and it is just like when you are working and health insurance goes up more than your raises if any ,.
at least if you are collecting medicare can't go up more than your cola unlike when we were working .
Yup, my check is exactly the same as it was. Looks like whatever our increase was has been offset by Medicare.
