Lose 10 more pounds
Read wsj from begin to end cover
Clean up my garage, accumulation for the last 2 moves and find my China.
Ok, I'm keeping it simple at 3, don't want to be too ambitious.

Not to make any New Year's resolutions because I won't keep them anyway.

I usually don't make new year resolution but have one for 2017: Do everything that I can to stay strong and healthy.

As mentioned in another thread, my husband has been rendered semi-invalid since just before Christmas with recurrent back pain and sciatica. This morning at 4:30am he was in so much pain and wanted a trip to the emergency room. The pain killer + hot/cold pack did not help. I decided to practice the newly-learned sciatica treatment massage and was so relieved that it gave him some reliefs.

So I need to stay strong and healthy not just for myself but also to take care of husband, and to manage all the household tasks including heavy duty ones like snow blowing and shoveling.

After the afternoon massage session, my husband felt good enough to sit on a reinforced recliner, drink some tea and chat with me. I asked him what would be his new year resolution. His answer was "never to carry another box of books" . This action was the straw that literally broke his back. I told him a better resolution was to "always listen to your wife". I had told him not to lift anything heavy but he lifted the remaining boxes while I was carrying the others. I yelled at him but it was too late!

I'd bet that many wives here also wish that their husbands would make the new year resolution of "just listen to the wife" because us women just know best when it comes to knowing your limits. ;-)
