I just like to hear stories from everyone. You never really know how the normal everyday person is doing except in forums like this one.

Very good point. However you have to take everything with a grain of salt. After all, you can be anything you want to be on the internet.

I have learned that I am human and others on here also have the same worries, fears, and experiences that I have. This forum joins people together and offers a way to understand stuff, fix it, or ignore it. The people on here are all my friends and I wish you all the very best in 2017.

I've learned that most people are very nice and helpful and have a lot of good suggestions. A quote comes to mind "Learn from others' mistakes, you can't live long enough to make them all yourself".

Thanks to those who have shared their wisdom, their experiences, their failures and their successes.

I've learned the answer to the question: "Should I throw out underwear I'm not excited to wear?"

Oh wait.

That's another subforum.

Everyone has been so helpful. I've learned how to explore my options, what to look for while making decisions. The freedom to ask questions & receiving good answers.

Thanks to all of you for your help.

It's reassuring to know we all share the same what ifs and worry about all the same things. I have learned a lot. One thing this forum has done was encourage me to wait as long as I can to collect SS. I will wait till FRA if I can. Before it would have been a bird in the hand thing and I would have collected at 62.

I've learned that I have more fun hanging out in the Political forum once I retire.

i learned that it is mind boggling how many people think if they repeat myth and wrong facts long enough they become true .

I am grateful that all of the threads in the Retirement forum are civil.

I dipped my toe in the Presidential thread - before the election - and the level of vitriol was toxic.

Felt run over by a truck there. Feel much more welcome here.

Lots to be said for that.
