I met a few guys, had a relationship or two, but decided that a single life was not so bad.

There are far worse things in life than finding yourself single, whether by widowhood or divorce.

A little time and a little patience will get you through whatever it is you end up with.
I think I would become terribly lonely and bored. My wife and I share our lives, we don't split into 2 rooms every evening to watch our preferred shows like many (most?) couples do, we stay in the same room and work out what to watch together. I love when she goes out of town for a few days and have the house to myself, but after a few days I grow lonely and bored. I guess it takes some getting used to.

You would find the Grandin Village area of Roanoke a perfect fit. I suggest you start there. Otherwise, Crystal Spring may work, albeit a bit more pricey.
