1 car, too old to bother with comprehensive, driving under 5K miles per year, with minimum amounts on required coverages. Or maybe in the 2nd to minimum brackets, I forget.

I don't pay monthly. I pay every 6 months because it is way cheaper and they won't let me pay yearly.

It amounts to about $280 every six months, $560 per year. Geico.

Geico. North Carolina. 2014 Camry and a 2007 Altima. Collision and Liability. $500 Deductible. Both of us have clean records for many years. $850 annually for both vehicles. I have a few other policies with Geico so I guess I get a small multi policy discount.

I was paying $1600 in New Jersey for the same coverage. By the same token I paid $50 to register each car nothing for state inspection. I just paid $600 to re title the Camry including registration and $30 for inspection here in NC. I paid $150 for registration on the Nissan and $30 for inspection. NC grabs new residents on the re titling of the vehicle. Still a bit cheaper overall though.

If you did a little rate shopping, you could probably cut that in half.

$600 a year for just my car and me as the lone driver. Add $200 to that to include my son.

We pay $261 every six months, which is $43 per month for a twenty year old truck. Liability only, perfect driving records. We're in our sixties and live in Florida.
