Could be an interesting topic. Pretty sure my child feels that way.

No, my son always knew I was crazy in a fun way On the other hand the only people who thought I was crazy in a negative way were the relatives that couldn't manipulate me or make me their whipping post, then suddenly I was crazy. Go figure!

One day after a mix-up with something, my son confided to me that his wife thinks I can be slightly potty at times. It's great having a British DIL, I didn't know to be offended right away.

DS, in the future, should learn not to share if he expects to live a long life. Or at least a happy one.

Potty
adjective, potty, pottier, pottiest.
1.
Chiefly British Informal. slightly insane; eccentric, crazy.

Sigh.

I'm a Boomer, and indeed I do see a heck of a lot of Boomers losing their minds.

Personally, I'm just getting cooler.

Well, I was a nerd as a kid, so maybe I'm just fitting in better and that looks "cool."

LOL
One day my youngest son brung home the young lady he ended up taking to the prom, my husband and I heard him through the window telling his date.

"my parents are crazy, keep walking, don't make eye contact".

We fell out laughing hysterically.

my kids already think I'm one step away from full fledged "grey gardens"

Looking at it from the opposite direction, my mother, now deceased, was always quite obviously crazy, even when I was a child. That never changed, although she did mellow somewhat in the last year or so of her life. She died at age 90.
