I let mine expire once ... never again. Murphy's Law - I had a looming trip and had to pay out the nose for an expedite.

Thanks for the info - now - what does FETCH mean? I've just started seeing this term.

You may be "hip" and didn't know it. I've seen it used to describe home decor recently - or - maybe they were also typing one handed.

I just checked out the poll results.

85% of those who responded have a passport.

Further proof that polls on city-data are worthless since they don't even come close to resembling the actual US population.

Which is why when I read city-data forums I have to remind myself that despite it appearing the vast majority think one way, city-data in no way represents the majority.

(a good thing to keep in mind when reading other threads regarding retirement/personal finances/ etc )

most folks in a hospital are sick too! any group will always skew things no matter where or what the poll is . but the reality is most polls are just useless information anyway .

personally i want to be on forums with folks i can learn from who are smarter than i am at the things i want to know .

i couldn't give a hoot what someone has or doesn't if it is nothing that makes me or my lfe better ..

There must be a LOT of people that still don't have passports because my daughter has been real busy since 1st of January issuing them.

Yeah it cracks me up when people underestimate sample bias and are surprised at the results. I've seen people in Early Retirement forums acting all astounded that everyone seems to have a high savings rate, or in Long Term Travel forums surprised at how everyone has been to lots of countries.

......"Early Retirement forums".....

Don't believe City-Data has one of those.
