I did not receive the 1099 INT statement from cashing HH bonds in 2016. Unfortunately, we do not have the info on how much interest was deferred. We sent an email to treasury securities that deals with bonds. We've received no response. Any ideas of who to call or contact? Thank you

For how much interest you were claiming over the years you would need to go look back at your old Tax Returns.

Most people don't claim the interest on bonds until they are redeemed, the 1099 is what then get reported to the IRS.

If you are claiming it all in 2016, you can calculate the interest earned, but taking the total received when the bonds were cashed minus what you paid for them. (Some of the result might be "Capital Gains/Loss" and some would be Interest)

These were originally E/EE bonds converted 20 years ago to HH. We cashed them in 2016 after it matured. The site indicates a 1099 INT form will be sent. We haven't reveived it. Who can we contact? The email we sent was never replied to

Where they held at treasurydirect or in a Brokerage account?

For TreasuryDirect:

For service, you may call 844-284-2676 (toll free) and speak with a customer service representative. Representatives are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, except holidays. (We discontinued Internet Services for HH/H Savings Bonds.)

If they were held in a Brokerage Account, you should contact the Broker.
