Your husband just contacted me with the sad news. Although I only met you once in person, I always enjoyed your interesting and insightful posts in this forum. You connected very well with many people.

The one time we did finally manage to meet up, near your home and close to where I grew up, we had thought we'd just meet for coffee but we ended up talking for hours. You were so interesting and such a good listener as we compared stories and shared memories and dreams.

A certain sense of emptiness had been noticed by several members of this forum lately. We were hoping you were just taking a break and would return to us but it is not to be. While the news of your passing is an extreme loss for us here, we know that it is much worse for your husband, your grown children, your grandchildren, your sisters, and other family and your real life friends.

RiverBird, I love our river as much as you must have loved it. Every time I drive over the bridge I'll think of you.

Please forgive me if I can't think of original words or a more appropriate poem but these words come to mind. Maybe other members will be able to find better words than I can. Good bye, RB.

WE REMEMBER THEM.

At the rising of the sun and at its going down
We remember them.

At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter
We remember them.

At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring
We remember them.

I just can't believe this.

R.I.P. Riverbird. I guess you've been preparing for this for quite some time.

I really would like more information if anyone has it. This was so sudden.
